Mae, alienated from her mother after the death of her brother, roams the streets of Vienna as a punk in his red high top chucks. She lives in abandoned buildings, commits petty crimes, sprays walls with graffiti, and tries her hand at poetry slams. Her life goes through a big change when she meets and falls in love with Paul, a patient at the AIDS center where she is performing community service to stay out of jail.
